Creative hand embroidery for young makers
Junior Embroidery Artist
Syllabus
By the end of the course, members will:
- Learn and practice over 15 hand embroidery stitches
- Understand how to transfer patterns and build designs
- Complete 4–6 creative stitched pieces
- Add beads, sequins, and bows with confidence
- Present their work at a mini studio showcase
- Leave with a confident base for future embroidery or craft practice
This course is open to all members aged 8–16.
To join, members must:
- Be at least 8 years old by the course start date
- Have patience, focus, and interest in stitching-based work
- Be willing to follow detailed instructions and repeat techniques
- Have basic fluency in spoken English
Stitch foundations and guided projects
Members begin by learning 10+ essential hand embroidery stitches and apply them in two structured hoop art projects. They also explore color planning, pattern transfer, and lettering.
What they’ll learn
- How to prepare fabric, hoops, and threads
- Basic and decorative stitches
- Floral stitching techniques
- Name or monogram layout
- Finishing, trimming, and hoop presentation
Projects include
- Stitch sampler (core + decorative stitches)
- Floral hoop art
- Custom name or monogram hoop
- Ribbon bow embellishment
Portrait, embellishment, and final artwork
The second month builds on existing skills, introducing texture layering, facial outlines, and fine embellishments. Members also complete a final creative embroidery piece with teacher support.

- Advanced textured stitches (bullion knot, cast-on)
- Line art portrait embroidery
- Bead, sequin, and pearl embellishment
- Project layout and stitching techniques
- Final hoop finishing and framing
Projects include
- Portrait line embroidery (facial outline)
- Beaded or embellished mini motif
- Final guided creative project (floral, portrait, or mixed)

FAQs
Yes. We partner with PayLater, which allows eligible families to split the course fee into four equal payments. Please speak with our course advisor if you would like support with the installment process.
We understand that schedules can change. coursesindoha offers up to two free cover-up sessions with other active groups, based on mentor and studio availability.
Additional cover-up sessions are 300 QAR each.
Nothing is required. All tools and materials needed for the course are provided by coursesindoha. Everything is beginner-friendly and suitable for building strong skills.
Yes. A coursesindoha certificate is issued after successful completion of the course. Your child must attend at least 90% of sessions and complete all required projects. To request a certificate, please email us at members@coursesindoha.com.
coursesindoha does not offer refunds, cancellations, or course transfers. Our junior courses run in limited annual batches, which makes it difficult to replace students once a seat is confirmed. Please ensure your child can commit to the schedule before enrolling.
Yes. You may freeze the course for up to three months. Please email members@coursesindoha.com before the next session to request a freeze. All freeze approvals depend on available spaces in future batches.
